Child sexual exploitation and abuse remain pervasive issues in Indonesia, with countless children falling victim to these heinous crimes each year. The reluctance to discuss and address these issues exacerbates the problem, leaving children vulnerable and unprotected. The challenge lies in breaking the silence surrounding these taboo topics and mobilizing communities to take proactive steps to prevent and respond to instances of exploitation and abuse.

To tackle this pressing issue head-on, our approach in creating compelling content was multifaceted and strategic. We crafted a narrative that not only captured attention but also drove meaningful engagement and action, also a powerful video that served as the linchpin of our campaign. Additionally, we fostered communities, leveraging the collective strength and knowledge of community members. Through targeted training, capacity-building, and collaborative initiatives, these communities were equipped with the tools and resources needed to address OCSEA within their respective contexts.

The impact of the P-OCSEA Campaign is evident in the growing awareness and mobilization of communities across Indonesia. The campaign also stands as a testament to the power of grassroots mobilization and community empowerment in addressing complex societal issues. Through the careful selection and engagement of 10 small communities and 28 dedicated individuals, we have cultivated a network of changemakers committed to combating OCSEA in Indonesia. As these communities continue to work tirelessly within their respective contexts, we remain optimistic about the lasting impact of their efforts.
